Zed R16 Driver For Mac

http://www.allen-heath.co.uk/zed/zed-R16.asp
I've been in need, for some time, of a nice analog mixer that supports firewire inputs from the computer. This Allen & Heath mixer, just released, does exactly that. 16 firewire steams in from the computer, and back.
Can anyone vouch for this relatively new product? Or if you haven't used it, any reason why I should or should not further investigate this? I'm about 95% sold on it, and willing to buy pretty soon.
Any advice?

The Allen & Heath ZED-R16 has 16 mic preamps and 16 channels. There are 4 band EQ’s and even MIDI controls. There is phantom power on each channel which I found to be a huge help making each individual channel usable for use, and there is even the full 4 band EQ on each channel.

  • With the release of the current ZED-R16 driver release V3.5.5, the soundcard control panel has been renamed and given a new icon. The V3.5.3 ZEDDICE Control Panel has been changed to the Allen'>V3.5.5 If updating the ZED-R16 driver from V3.5.3 to V3.
  • Nov 22, 2016  I have a ZED R16 and I am trying to connect it to My MacBook Pro (OS X El Capitan) using Logic Pro X. Download and install the firmware and driver for Mac there. Restart Logic, choose Logic Pro X > Preferences > Audio, and choose the ZED as both input and output device.
  • Connecting two desks together. Install the Allen & Heath FireWire driver (formerly ZED DICE driver) following the procedure in the user guide. Ensure the switches on the back of the ZED-R16s are set to FireWire. Connect the first ZED-R16 to the computer.
