Summary
Installed using the HL-1260 driver for Win2000, because it was what I had available (part of the standard Windows drivers). I haven't had any problems, so maybe it's more stable than the 1240 driver.

I called Brother about the constant crahing of this driver when trying to print via IE on the macintosh. I was tld not there problem and to contact Microsoft. the driver works with Word, Excel and Prowerpoint and outlookexpress but not IE.
