Drivers For Utilities In Mac
Introduction
This is an unusual build, but works flawlessly! I had this old HP Compaq CQ5315 that I wanted to transform into a desktop Hackintosh (Mavericks) station for my wife. To my own surprise, it works flawlessly since more than one year! It may be not the most shiny build around, but it proves that one can make a nice desktop Hackintosh out of an average desktop PC.
Components
As said before, the build is a HP Compaq CQ5315. I just bought a new HDD.
Already owned:
Foxconn H-I41 uATX (Intel G41) Motherboard
Intel Pentium E6500 CPU
4GB RAM PC3-8500 (no name)
Nvidia GeForce G210
300W PSU
CD/DVD
Bought:
WD Caviar Green 2TB HDD
ASUS USB-N13 Wireless N USB Adapter
Installation
1. I followed the instruction here: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-based PC until the end of step 4 (install Mavericks).
2. Post-installation: I run Multibeast and installed Easybeast only, without customization, then rebooted.
3. After reboot, I installed the Ethernet driver: RTG Mac v2.0.6 and rebooted.
4. After reboot, I run Multibeast, Customize -> Graphics Enabler=YES. Now that the video card is working, I can plug it to the motherboard and connect it to the screen (through VGA).
5. After reboot, I installed voodoo HDA for ALC662 for the sound.
5.1 if sound still doesn't work -> AppleHDA disabler and VoodooHDA (v.2.8.2.) through kextutility
Because of the HDD size (2TB), I had the Boot:0 error. I solved it successfully with the help of this guide (solution 1).
